Photos of the painted hoardings & decoration of the fence by Haydon Wick Primary School to Commemorate the end of WW1

Posted on 9th November, 2018 in News

Thank you to Marilyn & Chris Trew who as spent the morning painting the hoardings outside Haydon Wick Parish Council Offices with soldiers and poppies to commemorate the End of WW1.  What a fantastic job and it complements the tree garden and the Tommy figure which has recently been installed.  Memorial Garden update:  More community involvement – this time from the pupils of Haydon Wick Primary School.  Do come along to admire their work and read their touching poems. Huge thanks also to our Councillor, Sarah McDermott, for her vision, inspiration and co-ordination of the project – and of course for all of her hard work behind the scenes.  Thanks also to Councillor Ed Gerrard for braving the cold and helping with the installation of the poppies and poems.
