Keeping in touch and staying connected – fortnightly Council discussions during Covid-19
Our Councillors and Officers have been holding remote meetings every fortnight since the start of lockdown. We’ve used this time every couple of weeks to check in on each other. There’s been some really helpful informal discussions updating each other on what we’ve been getting up to in our local community and how the parish council is progressing, despite the challenges of Covid-19.
This week’s discussion included updates on the progress of our Parks and Open Spaces team, the financial year-end and how our ‘remote’ internal audit visit went, a good debate on the next edition of the parish council’s magazine, and a quick debrief on the remote VE event we held on Facebook.
If you’re feeling left out, don’t be! We are holding our first remote and public Full Council meeting on Tuesday 26th May at 7.30pm and you’re all invited. Residents are encouraged to send any public questions to the Clerk in advance and we will soon be posting further details of the joining instructions for you to attend.
We look forward to seeing soon.
