Activities

Recent Projects

  • Participating in the Youth Matters Event held at the North Swindon library. This was organised by the Swindon North Locality and aimed to give young people a voice and an opportunity to interact with the local community and discuss what they would like to see for young people in their area.
  • Assisting with the Christmas Parcels Delivery to elderly residents of the Parish.
  • Joint project with representatives from Swindon Wildflower Nursery and Wildflower and Butterflies to improve the Wildlife Garden in the Leisure Gardens site. This involved running several practical sessions with the Youth Council members to plant hedging/shrubs and woodland edge flowers and devising an on-going maintenance plan for the garden.
  • The Welcome to Haydon Wick Booklet which had been produced by the Haydon Wick Youth Council several years ago has now become out of date and members have been asked for their ideas and suggestions on how it could be up-dated and improved. The booklet was primarily produced for young people who had recently moved to the area and gives information on the facilities available and who to contact.
