About Us - Listening To You

Haydon Wick Parish Council

There are a number of ways to contact the Parish Council.

Annual Parish Meetings

This is a statutory requirement and is in some ways similar to the Annual General Meeting of a business or club. During this meeting the council will present a report describing what has been achieved over the past year. Any parishioner attending may ask a question or express their opinion to the council.

Full Council Meetings

The council has set aside time at the start of every full council for parishioners to speak. If you would like address the council please forward full particulars in writing to the Clerk at least three days before the meeting. The council will always try to answer questions at the time but may respond in writing later if necessary. Additionally parishioners are also welcome to stay and listen to full council meeting.

Sub-committee Meetings

Parishioners can also attend and listen to Sub-committees. If you would like to address the council (perhaps with regard to a planning application for instance) please forward full particulars in writing to the Clerk at least three days before the meeting.

Whilst all our meetings are open to the public please be aware that there are times when confidentiality may mean we have to exclude the public from discussions and we ask for your understanding in such situations.

Parish Newsletter

Several times a year the council publishes its newsletter. We use this to keep you informed, but we also welcome contributions from parishioners.

Letters and Emails

The council wants to hear from you, so please write to us or contact us via this website to let us know how we are doing.
