Update on Hedge & Bush Cutting

Posted on 17th October, 2017 in News

UPDATE ON HEDGE & BUSH CUTTING - Hedge cutting in Oakhurst has now been completed and the contractor has moved into Taw Hill / Haydon End. We will continue to provide an update on hedge/bush cutting schedule.

The replacement contractor, Envisage, has advised that the new equipment ordered to carry out the work will be delivered by the end of October. Work will commence in the first week in November in the Oakhurst area and continue throughout the month with the aim to finish in Abbey Meads by the end of the month. Working in this manner will allow an assessment to take place of the work carried out by the previous contractor which will be needed in resolving any financial issues with the ending of the contract.

As the existing contractor, ISS, has not been able to maintain the promised hedge/bush cutting schedule and in recognition of the issues being faced by residents the Council have employed another contractor to carry out the full cut.  The new contractor will commence work shortly in Oakhurst then Taw Hill/Haydon End, Haydon Wick/Greenmeadow and finish the cut in Abbey Meads. Once the new schedule is available it will be posted on this page

The Council wishes to apologise for the ongoing issues with the work of the previous contactor.
